December Favorites 2014

Another month, another favorites. Didn’t really have any beauty favorites this month. Just been using the same stuff that I love. I did switch up my night-time moisturizer, but have only been using it about a week. I’ll report back … Continue reading

November Favorites 2014

November flew by. We didn’t have to many favorites. Probably because we just used tried and true things and nothing exciting. For Home and Beauty I pulled out old favorites. For makeup I was really simple. A light dusting of … Continue reading

September Favorites

September is the last hot hot month of the year for us in north Florida. So we were still in summer mode.

First favorite is the Kashi Dark Chocolate Sea Salt with Chia. ERMAHGAUD. If you like salty sweet pairings, you’ll love this. It’s a little chewy, a little crunchy and a little sweet. You get more of a brining after taste. Sounds weird, but so good. I like more salty things, or bitter-sweet. We actually finished a huge Sam’s size, Cam ate one most days for breakfast and his son loved them.

Recycled the box before I thought about this.

Second favorite is the Trader Joes Pumpkin Spiced Pumpkin Seeds. This is like a light, less sweet praline. I’m not a huge PSL person. But these!!!!

Zuma Rosemary Mint goats milk soap. I’ve wanted to switch to a goat’s milk soap for a while. One they are a bit more moisturizer and two, goats milk is a natural AHA. Cam has really sensitive skin. He doesn’t break out in hives or anything. However, fragrances and detergents cause him to get little bumps and stuff. Not acne, but red sorta bump. We had been using the Dove sensitive, and it was fine. But, this one and a different one we just opened, have really helped. His skin is softer, and his little bumps are going to.
We use the piece we bought all up. I just have the bag, but the soap was green with specks.

August Favorites

I just realized all my products were made in the USA. Awesome, we always try and shop local, but not always possible.

LOVE these. 2oz instead of a standard 4oz that tubs are. Which is great when you really don't want a whole thing of yogurt. The lemon one is my favorite. AND you can freeze them for frozen yogurt push pops.

Had it for the first time in St. Augustine. Fell in love. Not as ale tasting as Reds. Like sparkling Apple Champagne. Your mouth will thank you.

I love the look of lipstick on other people. I hate the look of lipstick on me. It never absorbs right and always looks and feels cakey or fake. Always liked colored glosses instead. UNTILL I found these. Is like a sheer smooth buttery lipstick. Glides on, just a hint of color. You know your color but better. Absorbs in doesn't cake. The only down fall is its not going to last you all day. But who cares, when putting it on feels so good.

July Favorites!

I picked 3 things for our first month of KELLI’S FAVORITES!

First thing (pair): Organix Tea Tree and Mint Shampoo and Organix Keratin Conditioner. Great scents, the shampoo has a slight mint scent and the conditioner smells like suntan lotion. Leaves my hair feeling silky. I’m just now getting back into using conditioners. Last year I went through a phase where I was trying to use less products and more natural ways. Not, not using product. I’m not that big of a hippy, but better products. The whole vinegar and baking soda thing wasn’t working, so I just started shampooing only, 2 times a week. It’s been fine so far, but I’ve been missing having the really silky hair that conditioner brings. Anyway, I digress. You can get these any where: Wal-Mart, Ulta, CVS etc… I’ve been using them about 2 weeks now and so far so good.

Second thing : Trader Joe’s Coconut chips. I wish I had a picture of the “chips” themselves. (I’ll update next bag). It’s more like long skinny shards. Kind of like when you peel fresh parmesan with a cheese slicer. Very lightly sweetened. Which is what I think I love the most about them. Regular sweetened flakes are way to sugary. I can eat the whole bag in a day if I don’t watch myself. In love.

And saving the best for last.
Third thing: OUR NEW CAR!!! ’13 Volkswagen Passat TDI. We’re clean diesel people here. 3 of our 4 VH’s are diesel. And one of those is another VW car, classic though. I don’t like driving that one. But this one blows my mind. It’s a manual, it’s an automatic. Mind Blown. And averaging almost 50mpg makes it AMAZING.
